In August, we invite you to Nowosiółki for the second time to an event devoted to the traditions, harvesting and methods of grain processing. The harvest will take place in the wheat field, where the harvesters will come out with scythes and sickles, and young villagers will work next to them, and they will tie sheaves with reeds. Each participant has the opportunity to try their hand at mowing, picking up with a sickle or tying and setting sheaves. Eager participants of the event will learn about the ritual of grinding grain and making flatbreads from fresh flour. Numerous workshops await children, during which they learn about the process of threshing with flails, cleaning grain with a blower, and grinding grain in burrs. All presentations will be held with the use of authentic tools and machines, in the natural scenery of the Lublin countryside. The whole event will be graced by singing of folk bands.

• 11:00 - Holy Mass in the Church of Transfiguration of the Lord in Nowosiółki 

• 12:00 - ride of the reapers by horse-drawn cart to the place of the event 

• 12:30 - ceremonial start of Harvest 1921 

• Harvest demonstrations of grain mowing with scythe and flail, raking ears, creating sheaves, producing springs, 

• threshing grain with flail and grain cleaning 

• visiting the exhibition 100th anniversary of Józef Piłsudski's arrival to Tomaszów Lubelski

• competition of knowledge about Józef Piłsudski 

• visiting permanent exhibitions in the Open-Air Museum, including agricultural tools 

• horse cart rides

• demonstrations of folk crafts 

• Demonstrations of farm activities: washing clothes by hand, making butter with tasting with country bread, pickling cucumbers

• 17:00 commemoration of the outbreak of the Warsaw Uprising - W Hour
