The open-air museum was established on the initiative of Sołtys Daniel Pawłowski, who, passionate about the history and culture of the Grzęda Sokalska region and the vicinity of Roztocze, decided to expand his own collection of household items used from the beginning of the 20th century in the countryside. Thanks to many donors of historical exhibits, nowadays in the open-air museum you can see what the work in the forge looked like, because in the museum's collection there is a large collection of original tools for heating and forging metal. The resource also includes a wide collection of kitchen items, including butter dishes, centrifuges, scales, sugar bowls and others that cannot be replaced due to the large amount. It comprehensively collects items related to the former life of villages and manors, but also consolidates knowledge about the customs, rituals, traditions and everyday work of people of the past era. ACTIVE open-air museum at SOŁTYS in NOWOSIÓŁKI Wasylów - a village rich in tradition! Wasylów is a village adjacent to Nowosiółki, located on Grzędzie Sokalska, where there is an ethnographic farm from the 40s of the 20th century. The farm includes a residential building made of oak wood that once belonged to Maria and Stanisław Pawłowski. Inside there is a tiled stove on which traditional dishes for the Lublin region are prepared and original home furnishings with beds, a wardrobe, carpets, a table and chandeliers. In the room, which is a bedroom for children, a photo exhibition was made devoted to the town and its former owners. The farm also includes a former cattle and horse barn with a chicken coop and a summer kitchen. Everything is made of cinder blocks and red brick. The largest building is a barn with a cellar for preserves and vegetables. In the middle there is a well consisting of more than 15 concrete rings. The farm is located towards the springs of the Kmiczynka river, which begins its course along the entire western part of Grzęda Sokalska. The Ethnographic Farm in Wasylów hosts regular events such as Harvest or Autumn Picnic with mushroom picking in the nearby forest. Historie pokoleń Zabieramy Was w przeszłość życia przodków... Działania Armii Krajowej w Nowosiółkach Po zakończeniu działań wojny obronnej we wrześniu 1939 roku, oddziały, które uległy rozformowaniu często ukrywały swoją broń, tak aby jeszcze kiedyś mogła posłużyć do walki z wrogiem. Tak było również na terenach gminy Telatyn gdzie podczas okupacji powstały oddziały partyzanckie dzielące się na dwie kompanie: 8 Kompania ,,Szarfy” pod dowództwem Sierżanta Jana Sierleczko ps,,Szarfa”1 i 9 Kompania „Łykoszyn-Nabróż” pod dowództwem ,,Araba”. Kompanie te dzieliły się na różne pododdziały, które często dokonywały akcji dywersyjno-bojowych. Jedną z takich akcji była potyczka z oddziałami żandarmerii, które jechały w konwoju przez wieś Nowosiółki. Dwa plutony AK, pod dowództwem starszego sierżanta ,,Beli” miało za zadanie zniszczyć konwój który przewoził amunicję. Akcja rozpoczęła się o świcie 21 marca 1944 roku, z relacji uczestnika tych wydarzeń, wiosna tego roku była zimna a tego dnia partyzantom dokuczał zimny porywisty wiatr, który smagał ich po twarzy. Na miejsce akcji partyzanci wybrali wąwóz, który znajdował się na przedpolach wsi. Mając do dyspozycji 14 ludzi dowódca rozlokował ich na szczycie wąwozu. Czekając przez dłuższy czas, partyzanci zmarznięci i przemoczeni, bowiem pozostały po zimie śnieg nie stopił się, nasłuchiwali, czy konwój nie zbliża się do wąwozu. Wiedziano bowiem z informacji udzielonych przez wywiad, że miał on przejeżdżać między 4 a 8 rano. Niepokojące wydawało się to, że po upływie umówionego czasu konwój nie nadjeżdżał. Dowódca postanowił zebrać oddział i ruszyć na kwatery. Partyzanci biorący udział w akcji nie ukrywali swojej złości i frustracji, Bolesław Wronka4, który relacjonował tą historię pisał, że partyzanci ,,klęli na czym świat stoi”. Wracając jeden z partyzantów usłyszał warkot silnika, ten sygnał był dla partyzantów jak iskra zapalająca beczkę z prochem, szybkim krokiem zaczęto rozwijać tyralierę po czym ,,Słowik” wydał rozkaz, aby atakować gdy samochód wiozący żołnierzy i amunicję znalazł się pośrodku tyraliery, którą rozłożyli na drodze. Niemcy, ku zdziwieniu partyzantów, udawali, że ich nie widzą, według relacji jednego z partyzantów, woleli nie wdawać się z nimi w żadne relacje. Partyzanci otworzyli ogień, strzelając do chowających się za ciężarówką Niemców, którzy znaleźli się w lepszej sytuacji strategicznej, jak podaje ,,Ryś” bowiem pole na którym rozłożyli tyralierę partyzanci, znajdowało się powyżej drogi, na której stał konwój. Żandarmi nieudolnie próbowali odpowiadać ogniem na grad kul sypiących się z luf karabinów partyzantów. Niemcy zaczęli wycofywać się bezładnie. Problemy zaistniały również po stronie atakujących partyzantów, bowiem jeden z trzech RKMów nie oddał ani jednej serii, zacinając się z powodu przestarzałej konstrukcji6. W czasie akcji uszkodził się drugi z RKMów, któremu uszkodził się zamek. Pomimo tego potyczka zakończyła się sukcesem partyzantów, którzy przy niedużych stratach, bowiem po stronie partyzantów zginął Władysław Masłowski, a ranny został Józef Lizak, przejęli całe wyposażenie konwoju, które zawierało kilka karabinów, kilkadziesiąt kilogramów materiałów wybuchowych, amunicji oraz oporządzenia niemieckiego, a także niemiecką maszynkę minerską marki ,,Simens” Niemcy natomiast stracili dwóch żołnierzy, a reszta, która się wycofała zatrzymała furmanki jadące drogą do Łaszczowa, uciekła w popłochu . Żniwa w Skansenie Aktywnym w Nowosiółlach w Gminie Telatyn w Powiecie Tomaszowskim HARVEST 1921 Nowosiółki - Telatyn Commune - Tomaszowski Poviat - August 1, 2021 In August, we invite you to Nowosiółki for the second time to an event devoted to the traditions, harvesting and methods of grain processing. The harvest will take place in the wheat field, where the harvesters will come out with scythes and sickles, and young villagers will work next to them, and they will tie sheaves with reeds. Each participant has the opportunity to try their hand at mowing, picking up with a sickle or tying and setting sheaves. Eager participants of the event will learn about the ritual of grinding grain and making flatbreads from fresh flour. Numerous workshops await children, during which they learn about the process of threshing with flails, cleaning grain with a blower, and grinding grain in burrs. All presentations will be held with the use of authentic tools and machines, in the natural scenery of the Lublin countryside. The whole event will be graced by singing of folk bands.
